Lindsey Lee
As of May 2011, Lindsey is an official graduate of the University of Saint Thomas, having completed her double majors in Geology and Justice and Peace Studies. Her love of paddling and the great outdoors has only deepened with time, and she spent the summers of 2011, 2012, 2014 & 2015 as a canoe guide for the Girl Scouts in the Boundary Water Canoe Area Wilderness. Her love of teaching, the great outdoors and working with youth took her to the Carolina's to work as an outdoor education instructor in 2012 and Upham Woods in Wisconsin in 2014, with a six month stint in Minneapolis to work with children in three nontraditional education positions. Lindsey transitioned to working in wilderness therapy for Thistledew through the MN department of corrections taking teen boys on 21-day wilderness therapy endeavors in the crazy freezing beautiful woods of northern Minnesota! When the DOC ended the 50+ year old program in 2015, her and a group of staff have been working towards reopening it under a non-profit so that youth in Mn still have access to a life-changing wilderness placement.
